Got Job? by Rayfire Got Job? by Rayfire
I oppose George Bush because of what he has done, so i made this because almost everyone i know had been laid-off at their jobs, and have never found another job! Please, vote no for Bush's re-election! We need our jobs back!

Well, it's a bit more complicated than the design implies.

For a start, the reason jobs are leaving the US is because the USA has been living in a solipsistic bubble and not realizing that it's economy cannot sustain itself at the standards Americans have been taught to live. That's why most Americans are in credit debt, and that's why America itself is massively in debt to China and Japan.

You cannot (as a country) keep spending money you don't have for things you don't need and expect this rather childish trend to sustain itself.

As a population, America makes up about 5% of the world, and yet manages to generate about 50% of the worlds' waste as well as use up about 50% of the world's oil.

I.e. - America has been living a very, very expensive delusion. That this delusion occasionally gets burst is only to be expected, and the worst is yet to come.

So, of course, America goes to war. Claims foreign oil under false pretences, and uses the war as a marketing festival to sell the one industry it has truly made it's own - the manufacturing of weapons.

It's a sad scenario, and I don't know you personally, so I'm sorry for your job loss, but you have to understand that for the rest of the world, you're basically a spoiled whining brat of a nation that has yet to learn to respect and co-exist with the rest of the globe.

And to mirror somebody else's comment, it's hard to sympathize when you complain that your job has gone to somebody who will, in fact, very likely work at LEAST twice as long and hard to get (IF LUCKY) a half of what you've been used to living on.

Rather than blame the guy in india who's trying to feed the family, you might want to consider blaming the WAR - and contemplate what the hundreds of billions of dollars could've done for Americans back home had they united and STOPPED Bush from trying so hard to kill the rest of us. Sadly, you didn't. You were duped, and you all fell into line, backed up the genocidal paranoia instilled by Bush & Cheney, waved the American flag, flew to a strange land where you do not belong, and killed, killed, and killed.

I agree, the former employment I use to work. One of the Electronic industry has shipped most of their parts overseas to assemble! Dern Koreans! And guess what, they werent following the procedures & ended up w/ costly scrap. Glad to be out of that crappy place & have new job closer to home! Never again in this kind of field w/ a so called stressful job. Pfft

now... im in argentina, and i happen to have one of the jobs you think you lost at our hands (i work for a major computer-connectivity company, maybe you already guessed which, doing phone tech support).
and we are not lucky: we are getting paid 300 dollars a month for 8 hours of work, five or six days a week. and the reason for which you keep loosing your jobs is cos those jobs need not be done specifically on us ground, and its cheaper to pay 300 dollars here in argentina (a dollar costs around 3 pesos, so it would be 1000 bucks here) than paying 1000 dollars to a technician of the united states of america (i disagree on calling only citizens of the u.s.a. "americans": from canada to chile and argentina, we are all american).
and i dont feel lucky, cos im a journalist, but i cant find any other job than tech support over the phone for american customers...

but do vote no on bush. #D

nah, really
VOTE CONCIOUSLY, EVERYDAY!

meh, nice idea, but i dont think you can blame bush with jobs being outsourced/moved to india, china, et al.

i hate bush and all, but its just economics, its cheaper overseas, its like this in all industries and "western" countries, before it was manufacturing and now it has shifted to technology.
